Trievents, one of Western Australia’s premier Sports Management companies, have organised a series of interviews throughout the Summer months with some of WA’s leading athletes and coaches. The interviews will be presented live on radio Sport FM (91.3FM).
Weekly podcasts will be added to the TWA website. These can be found on the ‘Podcasts’ tab which is located in the ‘Media’ link at the top of the TWA website.
Trievents have included the TADPOLES Multisport Series to their long list of events. The Tadpole series has been specifically set up to provide children aged 7 to 11 the opportunity to swim, cycle and run for enjoyment. It doesn’t matter how good they are at sport, it gives them the chance to challenge themselves, get healthy and active and boost their self esteem. The events aren’t timed, there are no results; it’s all about participation and having a go. Every participant receives a Finishers Medal at the end of each event.
The TADPOLE Series includes three different formats of multisport; Triathlon, Aquathlon and Duathlon, each conducted over age appropriate distances.

Congratulations Stadium Tri Club for retaining the Rob Pickard trophy for another year. It was very close in the points between total between Stadium and North Coast, an extra 2 people from North Coast competing might very well have produced a different result.
Congratulations to Exceed Triathlon Club, winning the Presidents Cup in their first year on the scene. Exceed had great support from its members entering the 3rd largest team of the day. A great result.

2010 Interclub – MM Article
RESULTS 2010 State Interclub Championships
Interclub Event History:
The Interclub Championships were initiated by Mandurah triathlete Clive Choate with the idea of promoting club spirit and friendly rivalry, as well as recognising Rob Pickard, the Triathlon WA president who, for almost a decade, had contributed so much to the sport.
Two trophies are defended in the State Interclub Championship; the Rob Pickard Trophy and the President’s Trophy.
Rob Pickard Trophy:
The Rob Pickard trophy is awarded to the team with the highest points tally at the end of the race. Each participant scores points for their club, so it is a good strategy to get as many participants from your club as possible competing in the event. Another strategy is to have as many female participants as possible.
President’s Trophy:
The President’s Trophy is awarded to the club with the greatest point average. In order to qualify for this the club must have at least 10 participants.
Triple World Champion and two-time Olympian, Peter “Robbo” Robertson of Australia announced his retirement as a professional athlete.
