Stadium Triathlon Club – will run a 12-week Novice Triathlon Training Course commencing on 22nd September.
If you are interested in becoming involved in the work of triathlons, then the novice course is a great place to start. As you are with the same group of people for 12 weeks everyone encourages each other and once the course is finished it is an easier transition to the main squad if you have a few training buddies to go with. This iconic event in the Barossa Valley is in it’s third year. The event incorporates the 2012 Australian Duathlon Championship and South Australian Duathlon Championship being held by Triathlon South Australia as part of the Australian Duathlon Series. It also incorporates the Oceania Championships for Elite competitors.

The City of Armadale Duathlon is the perfect event to start the 2012/13 season and entries are now open! You can either enter as an individual or as a team of two or three. A team will still receive split times for each leg, so it’s a great way to track your fitness after the winter months have passed. SAVE THE DATE: Entries for 2013 SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton will open for Triathlon WA/Triathlon Australia members on Wednesday 24th October 2012 at 7.00pm AWST (Perth Time) for both individuals and teams. Entries for the non Triathlon Australia members will open at 9am AWST on Thursday 25th October 2012, if entries are still available.
The 2013 SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton will accommodate 1650 individual entries and 600 team entries.
SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton (Saturday 11th May 2013) will take place as part of the SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon from the 9th til the 11th May 2013. The festival is also host to a number of community participation events including; SunSmart Kids Triathlon, Expo Village, Chat with the Pros, Charity Breakfast and Swim with the Pros.
SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton will take competitors on a 1.9km swim along the Busselton Jetty , a 90.1km cycle through the Tuart Forests and a 21.1km run along the gorgeous Busselton Foreshore in Geographe Bay.
Entry fees will be released closer to the 24th October 2012.
Important information to consider before registering:
- With the increase in competitors at the event and expected spectators to be 15,000, we recommend that participants book their accommodation early to ensure they do not miss out.
- It is compulsory for all participants to complete Athlete Check-in on Friday 10th May 2013 between 9am and 5pm only, at the Registration marquee within the Expo area on Barnard Park. Please make sure you plan your trip to Busselton to make it to registration on time. No early or late registrations will be permitted. ALL individuals and ALL team competitors must register between the above stated times.
